ZWEI BIOGRAPHY

Zwei is a rock band from Japan with Megu as the bassist and Ayumu as the vocalist. Formed in 2003, Zwei made their official debut in 2004 with their first song "Movie Star" (Ending song for Fuji TV's variety programme "Guru Guru Ninety Nine"). The band name, "Zwei" was taken from the German language meaning "Two". The "Two" represents the two sides of their music; "Digital & Analog", "U.K Rock & J-POP" and not to mention the style of the band, "Voice & Visual", Ayumu's powerful, clear voice & Megu's striking appearance.

The band swiftly gained popularity when performing songs for various visual novels. Under the 5bp. label, Ayumu provided the vocals for "Occultics no Majo", theme song for visual novel "Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru”. Since then, the band began performing for various PC games and visual novels music such as Koyubi no Paradox, opening song for visual novel game "Memories Off: Yubikiri no Kioku", Kakuchou Place, opening song for visual novel game "ROBOTICS;NOTES" and many more.

Zwei made their first appearance at Animelo Summer Live in 2012. In the same year, they released their single "Junjou Spectra", the opening theme song for "ROBOTICS;NOTES" animation.

10 years since their debut, Zwei has been invited to perform at various conventions including Germany and America. This year, Zwei will be coming to AniManGaki 2015 as their appearance in South East Asia! Be sure to catch their performance only at AniManGaki 2015!
