How do I get there?
Ah, this is why we have the Sunway Pyramid website for you. Try their public transportation directions page. -
Are there any ATMs around?
There are, but the ones in the immediate vicinity of the Sunway Pyramid Convention Center may run out of cash during event day, so it's a good idea to come prepared. Don't worry though; ATMs are readily available everywhere else within the mall. -
What can I expect from your convention?
If AniManGaki's your first convention, expect to be just a bit overwhelmed. There's so much to see, so much to do, you may not know where to start. So try to sample a bit of everything. Just go with the flow, have fun, make friends, and share in the celebration. -
Do I have to cosplay (dress up in a costume)?
Nah. You should dress for comfort. But quite a lot of people do dress up, and if you're feeling creative, feel free to show off your skills. -
Do I have to cosplay according to the theme?
Dont worry, the theme is just for the fun of it. It is not compulsory to follow the theme. But is cool if you do so. -
What about food?
Food is generally not allowed inside the Sunway Pyramid Convention Center. However, there are plenty of nearby fast-food restaurants within easy walking distance in the mall. Another option is to bring your own food and keep it inside your bag. Remember, you aren't supposed to bring food into the SPCC, so if you've smuggled in some snacks, be discreet about it and clean up after yourself. -
I have a question that's not in this FAQ. Where else should I look?
You may start by looking through this website. But if you are still confused, feel free to mail us or ask at our AniManGaki Fan Page. (However, about 90% of the questions we get are already answered, so please do check around first.) -
Booths

I am still not sure how big is the booth table. Any other picture?
Take a look at this post in our Facebook Fan Page. Our friend here is 1.8m tall. -
I'd like to sell stuff at AniManGaki, but I'm confused by the options. Who can sell what, where?
If you are a commercial retail business, your only option is the Exhibitor's Booth. You may contact our staff for further details. Doujin Booth is reserved for individual or group of artists and writers, webcomics, and small-volume craftspeople. -
Can I bring my laptop or set a side table to the booth?
Yes and no. While we appreciate your attendance at our event, we also hope that you respect others in terms of space. Laptops are permitted ONLY if you do not obstruct anybody's space. Be notified that plugs will not be provided. Side tables are NOT allowed at all times as it may disrupt traffic flow. -
What do I do after I make payment?
Scan a copy of the payment receipt and send it to us. We will send you a confirmation email. Once that's settled, you will just have to show up at the event day itself! -
I have submitted everything, and there don't seem to be any replies...
Your patience will be greatly appreciated. We will reply within 5 - 7 days. Please send a notification or email to us if you have not received a reply within that time frame. -
Cosplay
-
I wanted to know if it is permissible to bring a steel katana as a cosplay prop. It isn’t sharpened though.
No, please do not bring hazardous items not limited to guns, explosives, chemicals, radioactive materials, etc. Anyone found disobeying this rule will face disciplinary actions from our Student Council. -
Is wearing a bikini too much?
We would like to remind you that AniManGaki is a family friendly event and that we request all attendees to respect this and dress appropriately on convention grounds. Appropriate footwear must be worn on convention grounds at all time; being barefooted or wearing socks only are not allowed. -
AMG Committee
-
Who or what is Kei-chan?
Keichan is our official mascot since AniManGaki was first born in 2009. -
Are AMG's staff paid?
Nope -- not one penny. AniManGaki has never had paid staff. The entire organization is volunteer-run, though we may contract out for certain things such as legal and accounting services. -
How do I get on board to be an AMG staff?
To become staff for AniManGaki, you must be recommended by two current committee members and be approved by our head of committee. The most reliable way to earn such recommendations is to work with us as a volunteer and show your dedication.
