Participation

Note : There will be no on-the-spot registration for this competition!

• Fill up the registration form. Attach the registration form together with the karaoke version of the song (Recommended to be in [.mp3] format) and send it to [email protected]. The reply will be send to you in the next few days to notify that you've registered. The competition is open to a maximum of 3 people or a minimum of 1 people for each entry.
• The deadline for the registration will be on 1st September 2011. Any late registration will not be entertained.
• The registration is based on a first-come-first-served basis. We only allow maximum of 20 entries (Each entry can sonsist up to 3 singers).
• Those that are registered will be announced in September 2011 via our official website at http://www.animangaki.com/ and will be notified again via e-mail/SMS.
• On the event day, bring your I.C for verification(s) for the competition.
• Please mark your attendance at the AMG Office during the event day.
• The order of performance will be determined by random drawing prior to the competition.
• When your name/group name is announced, please be on the stage immediately. Remember that you are to sing the song you have selected and there will be no sudden change.

Assessment Criteria

The competition will be held in two phases consisting of a preliminary round and a finals. Participants are to perform for the preliminary rounds, which then finalists will be announced and asked to proceed to the final round.

Preliminary Round

• Participants are to sing their selected song on stage. A maximum of one song or 5 minutes is given for the performance.

Arrangement	: 50%
How closely the participants' singing resembles the given song. Factors include lyrics resemblance, tune correctness, and tempo matches.
Stage Presence	: 50%
How well the participant can present themselves on stage. Factors include attitude, facial expressions, and how they move on stage.

Finals

• Finalists are to sing their second song, in which after the song, the judges will ask one question. The criteria is based on below:

Arrangement	: 45%
How closely the participants' singing resembles the given song. Factors include lyrics resemblance, tune correctness, and tempo matches.
Stage Presence	: 45%
How well the participant can present themselves on stage. Factors include attitude, facial expressions, and how they move on stage.
Interview	: 10%
One subjective question will be asked by the judges, and the score will be given depending on the answer you give.

• The competition is open to everyone, regardless of nationality.
• This competition is for both solo or group performances.
• All contestants must be amateur entertainers. Professionals, either union musicians or whose talent is a source of income, are not permitted to enter.
• Participants are only allowed to enter once per person.
• Ensure that you've read and understand all the general rules and regulations of the competition.
• Ensure that you have registered and the information that you have provided is clear and concise. Any incomplete information in the registration forms will results in rejection in the competition.
• The top 2 winners will be decided solely by the panel judges. Any decisions made by the judges are final.
• Original songs can be used in the participation of this competition.

Requirements for Songs

• No. of songs
• Two (2) songs only (One song per round)
• Types of songs:
• Anime-related Japanese / English song
• Non anime-related Japanese song
• Maximum time taken: 5 minutes

Extra Rules and Regulations

• The songs used in the competition must be sent to the committee in-charge, together with the registration form before deadline. You are not required to bring along any CDs or music players along.
• Please be noted that there will be no sudden change in the songs at the last minute.
• Lyrics are strictly not allowed.
• Contestants may contact the committee in-charge for more information prior to the competition.
